Maxfield Parrish

Every so often the library at the University will get a bunch of new books. They leave them on a shelf for a little while before putting them away. One day I came across a book about the illustrator Maxfield Parrish. It was so fascinating. I especially enjoyed his children's book illustrations and his fantastical landscapes. These two make me think of home (Utah).

This is my Favorite era and style of illustration. I would decorate my whole house in prints if I could find the images bigger than a greeting card. Ever notice all the framed greeting cards I have? I really LOVE these two images. Let's find them and both hang them in our houses. I wish.

Indeed. Lately I think I really like the '30s style. It was so hard to choose only two - go to the link and look at all of them (you can even send an e-mail postcard!). I think you can find a bunch of these prints on poster web sites - and since you know how to frame, we could be in business!
