Turtles!

When my sister Sara and I were in Nauvoo a week or so ago, we found these two tiny turtles. Sara helped them off the road to safety. Aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen? Turtles are definitely something that I love about the Midwest. I just wish they'd stay away from the road!

I liked their eyes. Then I read a poem about how helpless turtles are in the Reader's Digest and it was supposed to be funny, but it was kind of sad. So be nice to turtles everyone.

That's interesting. I always worry about them turning over on their backs and not being able to get up. It's funny when they pull their arms and legs in and try to hide.
