Jane Austen at Anthropologie

Check out these beautiful hardcover Jane Austen novels at Anthropologie.  I have a copy of Pride and Prejudice that was my great-great grandmother's, and I have a nice paperback edition of Sense and Sensibility that I picked up in Winchester - but I would love to round out my collection with one of these lovely books.

Sechura Towels

I saw these towels at Anthropologie and thought they were fantastic.  We just have white towels, but this could be a fun way to add some color to your powder room.

Voluspa French Cade Lavender

When we were in San Francisco I bought a Voluspa cut glass jar candle from Anthropologie.  (Not unique to San Francisco but something I've had my eye on...)  I got the smaller version in French Cade Lavender.  It smells heavenly.

Squirrel Nutcracker

We have so many squirrels in our yard these days (probably because I feed them)!  So I loved this nutcracker when I saw it at Anthropologie

Poppy Bakeware

I paid Anthropologie a visit recently and found all sorts of lovely things.  This poppy bakeware is so beautiful.  I want the square one...

Natural World Dessert Plates

I've been thinking about china patterns again lately, and I saw these lovely plates at Anthropologie.  The Natural World Dessert Plates include four patterns, but I like the bee the best (of course).

Royal Apothic Balmoral Rain

When my mom and I were downtown on Saturday we went to Anthropologie.  It was a lot of fun.  One thing that I found was this lovely perfume: Balmoral Rain by Royal Apothic.  Here's the description of the fragrance "fragrant orange and magnolia notes mingle with geranium, bay rose and muguet, above a mellow base of sandalwood and moss (FLORAL)."  Fancy.

Swinging Hare Door Knocker

We were downtown the other day and stopped in Anthropologie.  They have some really lovely animal knobs and hooks.  I think I may have to get this cute rabbit door knocker.

Storefronts

Shopping in Chicago was especially fascinating to me because of the great storefronts and window displays that I saw. This is the door to the Anthropologie store on Chicago Ave. The door handles are big and heavy, and the tile in front of the shop is beautiful.

The next three pictures are of the new AllSaints. It's a British shop that's new to Chicago. It's kind of hard to see, but the windows on both sides of the door (pic. 1) and the window above the door (pic. 2) are full of old Singer sewing machines. The third picture is from the inside looking back toward the entry. The whole setup is very industrial, and the store is often described as "edgy." (It's also expensive!)

Alexa Pulitzer

At one of the huge Anthropologie stores in Chicago, I saw these great mousepad notepads on clearance. They're by Alexa Pulitzer, and they are fabulous.

Anthropologie Knobs

The third thing that I loved at Anthropologie was their knobs - I always love their knobs. This one is a beautiful little saucer. There was a light green one that was really great, too.

Anthropologie Headbands

Another thing that I really loved at Anthropologie was their headbands. They were inspiring. I really loved the silver sparkly one. But, again, too expensive...

Anthropologie Measuring Spoons

Last week, we went to Anthropologie for the first time in a long time. I loved every minute of it. I especially loved their unique measuring spoons. This set is so glamorous. But expensive. I was really thinking about them on Thanksgiving, though...

Anthropologie

I know that everyone knows that Anthropologie is an awesome store. My little sister told me all about it when it first opened at the Gateway in Salt Lake a few years ago. I think I love their earrings and home fixtures the most, but pretty much everything that they carry is inspiring. When we moved to Missouri I was happy to discover Anthropologie at the Plaza in Kansas City!
