Map Pins

We've had fun marking all of our travels on a big U.S. map and decided to begin marking one of the U.K.  Large map posters are about $12 from National Geographic.  With a little spray adhesive and foam posterboard, they're ready for pins.  We've been using silver glittered map pins to show where we've been.  This isn't the greatest picture, but you get the idea!

The Ultimate Paris

Did you know that Pinterest now has a map feature?  Fodor's put together an Ultimate Paris page with a map and corresponding sights to see.  What a great idea!

Friday Featured Etsy Seller: JazzberryBlue

JazzberryBlue is a fabulous Etsy shop that offers modern art prints.  I especially like the maps.  Here is one of Istanbul and one of the world's time zones.

Friday Featured Art: Stamen Maps

I think I found this on Pinterest...  Stamen's web site allows you to type in a place and then select a beautiful watercolor image of a map to print.  This is Paris.

Barbara Coupe Scarf

I saw this scarf in The Simple Things a couple of months ago, and I think it's beautiful.  It features a map of the British Isles and is made by Barbara Coupe.  Really I like anything with maps...

Wolpy

I read about Wolpy on Jordan Ferney's post about maps. We have a beautiful National Geographic map that I haven't mounted yet, but I plan to. I also plan to make some silver-glittered map pins. (I swear it was a project by Cathe Holden that I may have seen on Design Mom, but I can't find it...) In the meantime, I've started an online map of the places that Tony and I have been together. (We didn't include ALL of the places, because that would just be ridiculous.) We hope to add more soon!
