A couple of weeks ago when we were at the dentist, we had to wait a
really long time. The upside of this story is that I found a recipe for donuts in the
Family Circle magazine. I tried it last week. I don't have a donut pan, but I do have one of Martha's mini Bundt cake pans. They turned out to be pretty good - and fun! I forgot to take a picture before we ate the best-looking ones... (Recipe below.)

Whisk: 1 1/4 cups flour, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, and 1/4 tsp. salt
Whisk: 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 egg, 4 tsp. melted butter, and 1 tsp. vanilla
Add liquid mixture to flour mixture and whisk until smooth.
Pipe into donut pan (or mini Bundt cake pan).
Bake at 325 degrees for 13 minutes. Makes 6.
