Bath House

I really can't resist things with lovely scents...  Bath House is a British company based in the heart of Cumbria that creates unique fragrances and beauty products.  I got a travel size version of their White Cedar and Pear perfume from Merz the last time that we were there

Yardley London

Our anniversary was last weekend, and we spent the day in Chicago.  We picked up a few things at Merz, including some Yardley body wash.  Yardley is a classic staple of British beauty goods.  I got some lovely Lily of the Valley, and Tony got the masculine Citrus and Wood.  That was kind of fun because the lily of the valley flowers in our yard have started blooming!

Malabah

Did everyone have a good long weekend?  We did.  Sunday was my birthday.  My husband ordered me a package of lovely beauty goods from Merz, including a bottle of Penhaligon's Malabah perfume.  So nice!

Archipelago: Boticario de Havana

When we went to Merz Apothecary, they gave us a sample of Boticario de Havana hand creme by Archipelago. It is rich and creamy, but the best part is the smell. It says that it's coffee and pineapple, but somehow it comes across smelling like a really fragrant pine tree.

Merz Apothecary

We were in Chicago Saturday night for a Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert. It was cold and rainy, but it was so much fun. Everyone was out doing their Christmas shopping. Macy's on State was especially busy (and festive!). They used to have a section called Merz Apothecary on the main level, but we found out that they've moved to a new location at the Palmer House. We liked the new space, and we bought some delightful fig and almond soap!
