Bathroom Update

The curtain that I had made for our bathroom just wasn't cutting it anymore...  So I found some fun fabric at Jo-Ann and made a new valance.  (I also installed a roller shade - my dad would be so proud.)  To complete the new look, I got these towels from World Market.  People tend to spend a lot of time in their bathrooms, so I think it's nice to change things up.  What do you think?

Bathroom Shade

Here's another peek at our bathroom.  I found some great fabric at JoAnn's to make a semi-Roman shade.  It's not the most professional, but it is functional, and I love the fabric.

Singer 160

I noticed this beautiful sewing machine at JoAnn's - have you seen it?  It's an anniversary Singer made to look like the old ones.  My awesome '80s machine still works well, but this would be a very pretty upgrade.

Thursday Text: The New Sewing Essentials

This text is more of a handbook. I picked up The New Sewing Essentials at JoAnn's the other day (with my 50% off coupon). I've been buying patterns when they go on sale for $1, but then I realized that I'm not sure what to do with them. This book has great pictures and instructions to help you cut out and sew a pattern. We'll see how it goes!
