Fan Chart

I finished our 6 generation family fan chart for Christmas. I used this template from Martha Stewart. I used a pretty script font, so the names our rather small - but it looks great on the wall. I made it 18"x24" and had it printed at an office store. So exciting!

Thanks for sharing, this is a beautiful chart you have made! Could you please tell me how you get text onto this chart before printing?? The pdf file wont let my type any text on the chart. Thanks :-). I have completed a lot of my ancestral lines, most up to at least 6gen, & am looking for a nice template.

Hello!

This ended up being kind of a difficult process. I opened the PDF using Adobe Illustrator. Then I had to create curved text for each of the names and move them into place. I'm not sure how you would do it without Illustrator. Perhaps you could blow up the chart at a copy shop and then find someone with really fabulous handwriting to do the names. My sisters has a beautiful handwritten version...
