A couple of weeks ago we made our first visit to the Morton Arboretum. They were having a Glass Pumpkin Patch to celebrate fall. There were artists from Illinois and California and various other places. We watched a demonstration and enjoyed seeing the different sizes, shapes, and colors of glass pumpkins. Aren't they great?

Fall Leaves
Things have been so pretty around here. We were pleasantly surprised to see one of our trees turn a very bright red. (Most of the leaves have fallen due to the rains of the past few days, though.) I really love this time of year.

Thursday Text: Delicious Autumn!
I found a lovely quote about autumn by George Eliot:
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.

Harvest Time
It's harvest time in my area. I love this time of year. We found these interesting pumpkins/gourds at a neighbor's down the street. The crops have been amazing this year. The soybeans (in the bottom picture) seem really tall. Fall is my favorite.
