FTD College Rose Collection

I saw these in a magazine the other day and thought that it was a fun idea - a bouquet in your school colors!  FTD has a College Rose Collection featuring two-toned roses in collegiate vases.  Mizzou (where my husband did his PhD) has school colors of black and gold, so their roses look pretty normal, but how about these fancy Boise State flowers?

Tiger Stripe Ice Cream

One of our favorite things about the end of summer is going to the Missouri State Fair. The University of Missouri always fills a building with various Mizzou goods and information. We like to visit the ice cream counter, where they serve Tiger Stripe ice cream. It's a specialty of Buck's Ice Cream Place on the campus of MU. French vanilla with a dark chocolate swirl - delicious.

Thursday Two Things: MU/NIU

Two more things that I will miss and that I'm looking forward to.

1. Missouri - The University of Missouri. We've lived here and worked here for 5 years now, and the campus is really beautiful.

2. Illinois - Northern Illinois University. Tony did his master's degree there, and we'll be about 5 miles away. So we'll be going to a lot of football games, but that's OK because their mascot is a Huskie - they run through the end zone after touchdowns, and it's so cute.
