I bought a pair of moccasins from L.L. Bean once many years ago, and I still get their catalogs. When I flipped through the last one, I saw this cool map. It's a giclee print on stretched canvas and would be a super addition to any home.

SmartWool
My other fabulous find at Nordstrom Rack downtown last week was a great new pair of slippers by SmartWool. My old leather moccasin pair from L.L. Bean finally wore out (after about 5 years)... I really like this new pair - it has a good grippy bottom, and you can wash them in the washing machine!

Christmas Tree
We are still undecided about whether to get a real or "fake" Christmas tree. I have always loved real trees and think that if you get one from a local farm that replants each year, that's the best way to go (especially if you get the tree mulched after the holidays). My husband feels really badly about chopping down a 5-year-old tree (or older) for just a few weeks. We've been looking into artificial options, but most of them are made of PVC and/or contain lead. I'm still not sure what we'll do this year, but this fresh balsam arrangement from L.L. Bean is a cute option!
